Rates effective January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012
Tuition includes four hours per day of Spanish language classes from Monday to Friday plus activities offered by IPED. Free tour of the city plus weekend and day trip planning is also included in the price. Homestay includes private room for 7 nights, 2 meals a day and laundry service. Textbooks can be rented for $10. Students choosing private classes may arrange for individualized schedules.
Each additional week of homestay is $165. Each additional day of homestay is $25.(Note: for 4 nights or more the weekly price applies).
We will be happy to pick you up at the airport for your stay in Heredia and take you to your family's house at no extra charge*.
IPED Puerto Viejo Beach Rates
Group classes - $280* per week (4 hours of classes a day Monday through Friday)
Lodging - Prices are posted on the website of the hotel that we use in Puerto Viejo and you can pay the hotel directly for lodging. Please contact us for the hotel's website.
Please make sure you arrive in Puerto Viejo on Sunday. If students desire to stay for the weekend they can make arrangements directly with the hotel. A wide variety of rooms are available for different options, from beach front to small apartments with kitchenettes. (Hotel rates are subject to change at any time.)
New for 2012: we have other lodging options available in Puerto Viejo.
We have a homestay option with modest accomodations and 3 meals a day for $32 a day.
Please, contact us if you already have lodging or are interested in other types of lodging.
We would be happy to send our teacher to your location. If you are not staying at the beach front hotel we use but the classes are held there then a $25 surcharge will be applied for use of the facilities.
Registration and payment: Please fill out the application form.
Prices are in US$. Fees may be paid in Costa Rica first day of classes with cash, traveler checks or INTERNATIONAL Money Orders (please be sure it is not a Postal Money Order). We do not yet accept credit cards. Personal checks issued from a U.S. bank can be accepted for deposits and tuition in Costa Rica. A $100 deposit which will be applied to your tuition is required to guarantee your registration.
We really enjoy what we do at IPED and we believe that a satisfied client is our best advertisement. Therefore, we will do everything we can to make your stay with us a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

The following list are the National Holidays observed in Costa Rica in which classes will not be held at IPED. There are no discounts for these days, however your homestay will not be affected. The staff at IPED will help you organize other cultural activities, excursions or trips that you might like to participate in.
