Family Spanish Programs In Costa Rica

Since its inception in the 80's IPED has been teaching families with children of all ages. The families usually stay with a local family that provide them with 2 meals a day, private room and laundry (moms love the homestay).

The homestay is one of the favorite parts of the program for the families. The kids get to see how the Costa Rican families live and get along.

Savory, fresh and wholesome food is lovingly cooked by the homestay moms which is delicious. In the homestay you are shown the genuine kindness of the Costa Rican people and is a great way to show your kids another valid but different way of living which in the end makes them appreciate their own homes even more. Some families prefer to stay at one of the local apartotels or hotels.

The parents and children come to the school at the same time and are involved in all of IPED's activities such at the city tour, cooking and dance classes and local excursions to The Coffee Tour and The Toucan Rescue Ranch to name a few.

Our classes for the children are designed for them to learn and have fun at the same time.

They are taught by university trained teachers that specialize in children. The classes are very active with songs, games other activities that keep the kids learning and entertained at the same time.

The kids sometimes go out of the school for learning activities with the teachers to places like the Children's Museum, the local market and the Museum of Popular Culture. They really learn a lot and have a good time too. The parents are in class with other adults at their same level.
